Quite fancy making a felted bag, but am a bit nervous about making a start. Does it have to be 100% wool, or will mixed yarns felt properly.

Anyone got any tips, please.

i 'think' you have to wash the knitting in hot water to felt it - so i think it has to be 'real' wool. but 'google' it on the net. theres loads about it on there

If you go to google type in felted bags chorley market.You will get free instructions and will tell you what wool to use. one yarn has to be a high percentage of wool hope this helps
