I am desperately seeking a pattern for a ladies old type waistcoat - with a shaped hem - knitted in 4 ply but without luck. Can anyone help?

Wow, this is difficult. I have trawled through ebay and found all manner of combinations, but not the shaped waistcoat in 4 ply. These patterns do not state what wool it is knitted in, so it might be worth asking the sellers: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/vintage-retro-knitting-pattern-ladies-waist-coat-/290456107709?pt=UK_Crafts_Knitting_Crochet_EH and http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-Vintage-Knitting-Patterns-Waistcoat-Cardigan-/270553242152?pt=UK_Crafts_Knitting_Crochet_EH This pattern states that you can try it in 4 ply: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1940S-KNIT-PATTERN-LADIES-WAISTCOATS-TWO-STYLES-/170525410775?pt=UK_Crafts_Knitting_Crochet_EH

I think there are quite a few retro waistcoats here http://www.theretroknittingcompany.co.uk/

Many thanks. I have found just what I wanted.
Can't wait to get started. Am using the lovely self patterning sock wool.
