Hi everyone...I have only just found Kemps site and what a great place to shop for yarn and patterns. I live in Ayrshire in Scotland and although we have some good yarn shops around sometimes it is not so easy to get to them and being able to shop for patterns and yarn online is just so convenient. I made my first purchase yesterday and can't wait for the supplies to arrive. I'm like a kid in a sweetie shop when I am in a yarn shop and being online is just as good. Happy knitting everyone and look forward to hearing from anyone anywhere. Nessa

Hi. I've known about Kemps for a while and have built up quite a stash buying the yarns when really cheap. I,ve been knitting for about 50 odd years and have never had a stash before cos could not afford to, so this is just fab for me. I currently have 2 wip. a wavy crochet blanket and a kid mohair bardot jumper, both going quite well

Hi everyone
I agree. Kemps definitely offer the best prices. The only gripe is the postage charge is high. However, it's still cheaper than the cost of petrol and parking.

Totally agree. found kemps about 2 years ago. Ordered load of really, good value for money wool. I do agree though that the postage is a drawback being almost the same as the wool. Swings and roundabouts I suppose. However, my gripe at the moment is the damn menu still not working properly.. Please, please fix it, its so annoying to go back to the beginning on both wool and patterns pages.

Hi Nessa
Been using Kemps for a couple of years now. You won't be disappointed with the wool, at least I never have been and it always seems to be cheaper than anywhere else on the 'net'. Its like christmas when it comes, cos you can't really remember what's in the parcel. Happy knitting, I'm sure you' will love it.

Hi, I've just found the site and it seems very user friendly. It was recommended by someone on another chat forum. It was good to read your comments about the service and I hope my order comes quickly. I don't mind the postage because there are hardly any wool shops in my area. There is one 4 miles away but it has limited amount of patterns and wool. The next is 10 miles away and parking there is difficult and expensive. Some other websites, I have looked at, are not so good. They don't give any pattern details such as amount of wool needed. You would have to send for the pattern first and then the wool....Crazy!

Hi, I'm Marlene from Glasgow and I have been using Kemps for a few years now. It's a great website and I find it so quick and convenient to use. Agreed the postage brings up the price but when you consider the cost of petrol, public transport etc. to get into town to a decent wool shop, it all levels out. I don't have any wool shops near me either so have to travel into the city to John Lewis, who have a great supply of knitting books, but the wool is a bit more expensive. I agree the special deals are great as I went through a spell of knitting bags and the prices are great for that and I can buy the handles on the site too. I am always knitting baby things and am very restless if I don't have anything to knit. Like a few of you, I get a bit carried away sometimes when I see all the good bargains!

Ive just bought some yarn from kemps that was only 89p a ball and yet everywhere else online or from the shops in the city it was almost £3 a ball. Even buying 11 balls with the postage added it still worked out to be less than half the price that it would have cost had I bought the yarn elsewhere. Also it was delivered today (wednesday) and I only ordered it on monday...how about that for super fast delivery. Im very tempted to buy more from kemps. A brilliant online wool shop. Keep up the good work!!!

Hiya Nessa
Just reading the forum and thought I should reply. I am lucky enough to go into Kemps wool shops as I live locally, it is like going into Aladdins cave! I have been knitting for years and buying from their shop for at least 25 years!!!!! Am really pleased that many more people can share in the wonder of Kemps.
Sue :-)
