I have just knitted a twin set from this yarn in baby pink, it is lovely!! I am now doing a white v neckcardigan. I LOVE this yarn it is SO soft and would like to make other garments (ladies) but the patterns available are limited. Anyone got any sugestions for compatable patterns?

sorry to reply to this so late but I have not visited the site for awhile. various reasons but mainly because I have far too much of a wool stash to dare to get any for awhile!!!
I have had the same problem with Sirdar Snowflake. Love the stuff although it can be a nightmare to knit. You have a couple of options:
1. You can email Wendy and ask if they can send you copies of patterns if you know what you want. sometimes a site will have photos and the number even if they don't have the pattern.
2. Ebay.
3. Different knitting forums.
4. I will see if I can see any while I am surfing.
Regards

Its me again. Just looked on the net. Dragon Yarns appears to be the only one that has any patterns. to be honest Kemps seem to have the most. Velvet Touch seems to be the most compatible - needle size is 7.00 so perhaps you could adjust as Flake is 7.5. Not much in it I think. Perhaps just make the garment longer, the wool is quite stretchy so it may work.
Hope this helps. Will check back to see what you think in a day or so.

Wendy Velvet Flake is lovely. I have adapted Chunky patterns. Basic shapes are fine as the yarn is variegated. My grandchildren like it as it is so soft.Yet another fancy wool I could not afford if it were not for Kemps!

Hi Jayne,
Sorry about delay in responding to your post, Like you I havent been on for a little while as I cant resist buying more yarn for my ever growing stash since I found Kemps site!!
I managed to make a lovely jumper by using the cardigan pattern I had for tension ,measurements etc and "crossesed" it with a chunky pattern for neckline. It worked quite well.
Thanks for you help though

Hi, thanks for your tip, thats what I did in the end crossed a pattern I had with a chunky one. I agree with you about the yarns on Kemps site, I have bought several fancy yarns that I would not be able to afford in my local wool shop - Great isnt it!!
