Has anyone tried the bamboo yarns? I wondered whether they wash well, and keep their shape?

Hi Mary, I have knit the baby bamboo and it is lovely to knit with it glides along the needle and it has washed very well. Linda

I found Baby Bamboo sheds terribly when washed (probably due to the wool content). I have knitted with Rowan Bamboo Tape and Sirdar's Just Bamboo and they are both lovely. Do not join a ball half way along a row though as it is impossible to cover up. Warning, bamboo yarn hardens and shrinks when washed. I made a jumper for my M-I-L for Xmas, washed it Xmas eve and had a mad panic as it goes like cardboard until compleley dry!
