I do so agree with you. Looking to knit a school cardi for granddaughter but after buying one for £5 in Asda (admittedly not a warm woolly one) am not tempted by ordering yarn online which will cost upwards of £20. Nor do I think many others will. Wool/yarn is getting so expensive now it's not worth bothering to knit yourself. However, that said, Kemps is one of the best sites to obtain a reasonably priced supply.
