Delivery and Postage
Item weights are calculated on the weight of the package. This should not be confused with the weight of the wools (shown as part of the details for wool items) as this is based on the minimum weight of the contents excluding any packaging. The total weight of a purchase (including any packaging) is shown on the final page of the checkout.
Postage weighing up to 1 Kg will be sent first class via Royal Mail. Heavier parcels will be sent via Parcel Force or by courier depending on area and postcode. Customers in Scotland and Northern Ireland will have a slightly different postage rate for parcels over 4 Kgs. See our postage rates. VAT is charged on postage where the goods are VAT rated and is over and above stamp value. All free postage up to 2KG will be sent via Royal Mail second class
We will dispatch your goods within 5 working days of your order, if we are unable to meet this time scale we will contact you.
Pre-posted Order Cancellation
Any orders cancelled will be subjected to a handling charge of up to 10% of the order cost, this is to cover labour and material costs. If the order hasn't been fully processed a nominal charge may be applied, the sooner an order is cancelled the smaller any possible admin charges will be.
Whilst we will try to ensure our shop will only display items which are in stock, some high turn over items may be temporarily unavailable. If any of the goods you have selected are not in stock you will be contacted with the option to cancel the item or wait for stock to arrive. Please ensure you supply us with an e-mail address and day time phone number when placing your order. to wait for out of stock items this could increase the delivery time stated above.
Returns and cancellation
Any goods for return must be returned within 14 days of receipt. Any goods returned (due to customer error) shall be at the customer’s expense plus a 10% surcharge and any goods sent in place will carry a delivery charge. This does not affect your statutory rights. Goods returned due to our error will be returned at our expense.
We will refund cardcard within 24 hours if goods are returned fit for resale.
Any discrepancies between goods ordered and goods received must be brought to the attention of kempswoolshop.com within 7 days of receiving the goods.

Credit Card Security
We are a long established and well respected family business. We have been trading since 1947. We have ensured that our web site is secure for our customers to buy on line. All credit card transactions are handled by Protx on their secure pages; we do not store or handle your card details. Your personal details are encrypted before being transmitted to our card handler.
While we endeavour to ensure that our sample pictures are a true representation of the relevant items, we cannot guarantee the quality of your monitor or the resolution being used. We would suggest a minimum resolution of 800 x 600 and 16 bit colour to view our samples.
Making a Purchase
If after browsing through our on line shop you decide to make a purchase click on add to basket and when prompted enter quantity. This will then add them to your shopping basket. If you wish you may then return back to the shop to add more items. If you have finished select continue, you will then be presented with a details form - fill all of these datails then press continue. Next you will be shown a final detail form with all of your puchases and P+P details, to purchase press continue, you will then be handed over to our card handler.
We can supply items which are not shown on our web site but may be current in our manufacturers ranges. If the items are not regular stock lines we may have to quote by whole packs. The price will still be at discount rates.
We do not disclose customer information to third parties other than the transaction handler. Cookies are used on this web site, but are only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item. After payment has been processed no card or financial details are retained.
